January – Guided #1

“The Mind, then, is not separate off from God’s essentiality, but is united unto it, as light to sun.”

-Hermes

“We created man: we know what his soul whispereth to him, and we are closer to him than his neck vein.”

-The Koran

Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet. “

-Alfred, Lord Tennyson

Happy New Year!

It’s a time for a Joyous New Beginning!

This is the time of year where we official begin again!

Traditionally people make resolutions or set goals or make vision boards, with a determination to fix or change themselves, their life circumstances, or other people.

Propelled on self-will, determination and self-reliance most do not fulfill on their resolutions. The gym membership is automatically renewed, but attendance wanes. The credit card debt keeps growing. The self-care peters out. The cigarettes, alcohol, food or whatnot are picked up again.

Clearly for most people this business of resolution making simply doesn’t work.

This fact points to a simple truth- attempting to change the external never works, because it is not causal.

Mind you, I’m not knocking doing any of those things when those actions are inspired from within.

It’s an inside job.

When we tend to our inner self, and are in harmony with the Love that we are, the external life experience reflects that.

We are made in the image and likeness of  God/Spirit, which means we have the ability to think and be independent of our circumstances.

We can choose our way of being in any given moment. We can consciously connect to the Source of Love within. We can avail ourselves of the guidance that is ever available.

Yes we can.

We can come from our authentic identity, Radical Self-Love/Child of God, or from the false victim identity. We can connect with and rely on that source for inspiration, and guidance.

You are never alone!

 You are guided, guarded,directed.

For the next two weeks practice the art of being guided.

Guided Practice #1 Part 1:

Anytime you find yourself rushing or feeling stressed, pause, close your eyes (if appropriate) and take a deep slow breath in and out. Next, repeat the following phrases aloud several times until you feel a sense of grounded balance within yourself. If you can’t say them aloud, then say them silently.

“I am never alone. I am guided, guarded and directed.”

Take another deep breath in and out, and ask God/Spirit …

What action or inaction am I to take right now?”

Pause. Close your eyes if possible, and listen and feel for the answer, then say thank you out loud or silently until you feel a sense of peace come over you.

Guided Practice #1 Part 2:

First thing each morning (as in before you get out of bed) take time to connect with God/Spirit by praying two simple prayers.

Please direct my thinking today.

Please help me to remember to remember that I am always connected to you and that I can access guidance any time.

 Then set the following intentions.

  • I am guided.
  • I am guarded.
  • I am directed and protected.

You are Radical Self-Love, a Child of God.  You are always in the right place at the right time.

Do you know what time it is? It’s time for you to practice Radical Self-Love, because you are the love you’ve been looking for!

 Thank you!

 I love you!

Until next time, peace and blessings! Carol Wirth
